If you travel from South Goa, then from Panjim, take a bus to Calangute Market Bus Stand, from where you will get a bus to Baga (3 Km).
If you come from North Goa, get down at Mapusa Bus Stand and take a direct Bus to Baga (10Kms). If you travel by Konkan Railway, get down at Tivim Station and take a bus to Mapusa. From Mapusa, there are direct buses to Baga. From the Baga Bus Stand you will have to cross the river by the bridgee and walk to the Retreat House - a 10 minutes walking distance. When the tide is low you can even wade across the river. From Mapusa you can also take a Rickshaw to Baga Retreat House via Arpora Village and Marinha Dourada.
There are pre-paid taxis from both the airport and the railway stations. Tivim is the closest station to Baga but not all trains stop at Tivim. The next closest is Margao a major station and all trains stop here. Margao is 50km from Baga. The airport (Dabolim) is about 40 km from Baga.
